Add a 3D viewer to a Webflow marketing page

Plan an Orbital 3D embed for Webflow with a useful layout, model loading checks, CMS boundaries and mobile performance testing.

The approach

A Webflow page can keep its ordinary content workflow while an embedded viewer handles the 3D scene. Start with one scene and one destination page. Make sure the published result works before attempting a collection of dynamically selected product experiences.

Separate page content from scene content

Keep navigation, headings, SEO copy and conversion controls in the host page. Use the scene to demonstrate shape, materials or a specific interaction. Orbital’s publishing panel offers a Webflow / Framer embed; use its generated output and give the host container explicit dimensions.

Treat CMS mapping as integration work

An embed snippet does not automatically bind every project property to your CMS. If each collection item needs a different scene, plan how the item’s data selects the correct published viewer and validate that mapping. Review the final page with all other media and scripts, since its performance cost is broader than the model alone.

Make it practical

A workflow to start with

  1. Publish one Orbital scene and copy the destination embed.

  2. Place it in a Webflow embed container using your plan’s supported tools.

  3. Set responsive width and height, then test the published page signed out.

  4. If needed, add and validate CMS-to-scene mapping as a separate step.

An example design brief

Start with a specific request.

Prepare a clean product scene for a Webflow marketing page. Keep the opening camera readable within a wide desktop container and a narrow mobile one. Leave product descriptions and purchase actions to the surrounding website.

Use this as a brief for scene work or AI assistance. Inspect the result in the editor; available AI tools depend on your account and plan.

Before you publish

  • The correct scene is shown on the correct published page.
  • The host page remains useful before the viewer loads.
  • Mobile scrolling and layout were tested with the complete page.

Common questions

Will my Webflow CMS automatically update the scene?

No automatic data binding should be assumed. Define and test how CMS data selects or updates the published scene.

Should I use several live scenes on one page?

Start with one and measure the result. Static previews or deferred loading may suit additional sections better.
